Air Fryer Avocado Toast

A quick and healthy breakfast option using an air fryer to make crispy avocado toast.

Ingredients

  • 2 slices of whole grain bread
  • 1 ripe avocado
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • Red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1 egg (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Brush both sides of the bread slices with olive oil.
  3. Place the bread in the air fryer basket and cook for 3 minutes until crispy.
  4. While the bread cooks, mash the avocado in a bowl and season with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes.
  5. Remove the bread from the air fryer and spread the mashed avocado evenly on top.
  6. If adding an egg, crack it into the air fryer basket and cook for 5 minutes or until desired doneness.
  7. Place the egg on top of the avocado toast and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Use ripe avocados for the best texture.
  • Adjust seasoning to your preference.
  • For a vegan option, skip the egg.
