Asian Sesame Cabbage Salad

A refreshing and crunchy Asian-inspired cabbage salad with a savory sesame dressing.

Ingredients

  • 4 cups shredded green cabbage
  • 1 cup shredded red cabbage
  • 1 carrot, julienned
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
  • 2 tbsp sesame seeds
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tsp grated ginger
  • 1 clove garlic, minced

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine green cabbage, red cabbage, carrot, green onions, and cilantro.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, rice vinegar, honey, sesame oil, ginger, and garlic.
  3. Pour the dressing over the cabbage mixture and toss well to coat.
  4. Sprinkle with sesame seeds before serving.

Notes

  • For extra crunch, add 1/2 cup of crushed peanuts or almonds.
