  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 orange (zest and juice)
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon (optional)

Instructions

  1. Rinse the cranberries and pick out any stems or soft berries.
  2. In a medium saucepan, combine water, sugar, and orange juice. Bring to a boil.
  3. Add the cranberries and reduce heat to a simmer. Cook for 10-15 minutes until berries burst and sauce thickens.
  4. Stir in orange zest and cinnamon (if using).
  5. Remove from heat and let cool. The sauce will thicken further as it cools.
  6. Serve chilled or at room temperature.
