Ingredients
Scale
4 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 packet active dry yeast
1 cup warm milk
1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup chopped pecans
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup powdered sugar
2 tablespoons milk (for glaze)
Instructions
In a large bowl, combine warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
Add melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract to the yeast mixture and mix well.
Gradually add flour and salt, mixing until a dough forms.
Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth.
Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
In a separate bowl, mix brown sugar, chopped pecans, and cinnamon.
Roll out the dough into a rectangle, spread the pecan mixture evenly over the surface.
Roll the dough tightly and cut into 12 equal pieces.
Place the rolls in a greased baking dish and let them rise for another 30 minutes.
Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
For the glaze, mix powdered sugar and milk until smooth and drizzle over warm rolls.
Notes
For extra flavor, add a pinch of nutmeg to the pecan filling.
These rolls can be made ahead and frozen before baking.
