Better-Than-Takeout Steak Fried Rice

A delicious and easy recipe for steak fried rice that tastes better than takeout.

  • 2 cups cooked rice
  • 1 lb steak, thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 cup mixed vegetables (peas, carrots, corn)
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 3 green onions, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat sesame oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the sliced steak and cook until browned, about 3-4 minutes.
  3. Push the steak to one side of the skillet and add the mixed vegetables.
  4. Stir-fry the vegetables until tender, about 2-3 minutes.
  5. Move the steak and vegetables to the side and pour the beaten eggs into the skillet.
  6. Scramble the eggs until fully cooked, then mix everything together.
  7. Add the cooked rice and soy sauce, stirring to combine.
  8. Season with salt and pepper, and stir in the chopped green onions.
  9. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until heated through.
