Caramelized Onions Burger

  • 1 large onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 4 burger buns
  • 4 slices cheese (optional)
  • Lettuce and tomato for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat butter and olive oil in a pan over medium heat.
  2. Add sliced onions and cook slowly, stirring occasionally, until caramelized (about 20 minutes).
  3. Season ground beef with salt and pepper, then shape into 4 patties.
  4. Grill or pan-fry burgers for 4-5 minutes per side.
  5. Add cheese slices (if using) during the last minute of cooking.
  6. Toast burger buns lightly.
  7. Assemble burgers with caramelized onions, lettuce, and tomato.
