  • 1 tbsp sugar

  • 1 packet (2 1/4 tsp) active dry yeast
  • 3/4 cup warm milk
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 1 egg
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 tbsp chopped parsley

Instructions

  1. Mix flour, sugar, salt, and yeast in a bowl.
  2. Add warm milk, melted butter, and egg. Knead into a dough.
  3. Let the dough rise for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  4. Punch down the dough and roll it into small balls.
  5. Mix minced garlic with melted butter and brush onto each ball.
  6. Layer the balls in a baking dish, sprinkling cheese between layers.
  7. Cover and let rise for 30 minutes.
  8. Bake at 375°F for 20-25 minutes until golden.
  9. Sprinkle parsley and serve warm.
