Cheesy Ham Potato Casserole

A comforting and hearty dish with layers of potatoes, ham, and cheese baked to perfection.

  • 4 cups potatoes, peeled and sliced
  • 2 cups cooked ham, diced
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Layer half the potatoes in a greased baking dish.
  3. Top with half the ham and half the cheese.
  4. Repeat layers with remaining potatoes, ham, and cheese.
  5. Mix cream, melted butter, salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  6. Pour mixture over the layers.
  7. Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes.
  8. Uncover and bake for 15 minutes or until golden and bubbly.

Notes

  • Use russet or Yukon Gold potatoes for best results.
  • Substitute ham with cooked bacon if preferred.
