  • 1 cup carrots, diced
  • 1 cup peas
  • 1 cup potatoes, diced
  • 1/2 cup onion, chopped
  • 1/3 cup butter
  • 1/3 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 3/4 cups chicken broth
  • 2/3 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon thyme
  • 1 pie crust (top and bottom)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Add onions and cook until translucent.
  3. Stir in flour, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and thyme until well combined.
  4. Gradually add chicken broth and milk, stirring constantly until the mixture thickens.
  5. Add the cooked chicken, carrots, peas, and potatoes to the sauce. Mix well.
  6. Pour the chicken mixture into a pie crust in a pie dish.
  7. Cover with the top pie crust, seal the edges, and cut slits in the top to allow steam to escape.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes or until the crust is golden brown.
  9. Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
