Chocolate hazelnut yogurt cupcakes

Deliciously moist chocolate hazelnut yogurt cupcakes that are perfect for any occasion.

  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup hazelnut yogurt
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup chopped hazelnuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a cupcake tin with paper liners.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, mix the granulated sugar, brown sugar, yogurt, vegetable oil, eggs, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  5. If using, fold in the chopped hazelnuts.
  6. Divide the batter evenly among the cupcake liners.
  7. Bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  8. Allow to cool in the pan for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

  • For a richer flavor, consider adding chocolate chips to the batter.
