Copycat Wendy's Chili (Crockpot Recipe)

A hearty and flavorful copycat version of Wendy’s chili made easily in a crockpot. Perfect for a comforting meal.

  • 2 lbs ground beef
  • 1 large onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 green bell pepper, diced
  • 2 cans (14.5 oz each) diced tomatoes
  • 1 can (15 oz) tomato sauce
  • 1 can (15 oz) kidney beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 can (15 oz) pinto beans, drained and rinsed
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 2 tbsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

Instructions

  1. Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat. Drain excess fat.
  2. Add the onion, garlic, and bell pepper. Cook until softened.
  3. Transfer the mixture to a crockpot.
  4. Add diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, beans, beef broth, chili powder, cumin, salt, and black pepper.
  5. Stir well to combine.
  6. Cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours.
  7. Serve hot with your favorite toppings.

Notes

  • For a spicier chili, add a pinch of cayenne pepper.
  • Top with shredded cheese, sour cream, or chopped green onions.
  • Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days.
