Creamy Cajun Pasta

A rich and flavorful pasta dish with a creamy Cajun sauce, perfect for a quick and satisfying meal.

  • 8 oz pasta (penne or fettuccine)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 lb chicken breast, sliced
  • 1 tbsp Cajun seasoning
  • 1 bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add chicken and Cajun seasoning, cooking until browned and fully cooked.
  3. Remove chicken from the skillet and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, add bell pepper, onion, and garlic. Sauté until softened.
  5. Pour in heavy cream and chicken broth, stirring to combine. Simmer for 3-4 minutes.
  6. Add Parmesan cheese, stirring until melted and the sauce thickens.
  7. Return the chicken to the skillet and mix with the sauce.
  8. Toss in the cooked pasta and stir until well coated.
  9. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  10. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

  • Adjust Cajun seasoning to your preferred spice level.
  • For a lighter version, substitute heavy cream with half-and-half or milk.
  • Add shrimp or sausage for extra protein.
