Creamy Cajun Shrimp Pasta

A rich and flavorful pasta dish with tender shrimp in a creamy Cajun-spiced sauce.

Ingredients

  • 8 oz linguine or fettuccine
  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tbsp Cajun seasoning
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp chopped parsley

Instructions

  1. Cook pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. Toss shrimp with Cajun seasoning until evenly coated.
  3. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add shrimp and cook for 2 minutes per side. Remove and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, add garlic and bell pepper. Sauté for 2 minutes.
  5. Pour in heavy cream and chicken broth. Simmer for 3 minutes.
  6. Stir in Parmesan cheese until melted. Season with salt and black pepper.
  7. Add cooked pasta and shrimp to the sauce. Toss to coat.
  8. Garnish with parsley and serve.

Notes

  • Adjust Cajun seasoning to taste for more or less spice.
  • Substitute half-and-half for a lighter version.
  • Add a splash of lemon juice for brightness.
