One-Pot Creamy Orzo with Chicken

  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cubed
  • 1 cup orzo pasta
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.
  2. Add diced onion and minced garlic, sauté until softened.
  3. Add cubed chicken, season with salt, pepper, thyme, and paprika. Cook until chicken is browned.
  4. Stir in orzo and cook for 1-2 minutes.
  5. Pour in chicken broth and heavy cream. Stir well.
  6. Bring to a simmer, cover, and cook for 10-12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until orzo is tender.
  7. Remove from heat, stir in Parmesan cheese.
  8. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
