  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp chili garlic sauce
  • 1 tbsp honey or maple syrup
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. Press tofu for 15-20 minutes to remove excess water, then cut into bite-sized cubes.
  2. Toss tofu cubes with cornstarch until evenly coated.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a pan over medium-high heat. Add tofu and cook until golden and crispy on all sides.
  4. In a small bowl, mix soy sauce, chili garlic sauce, honey, rice vinegar, and minced garlic.
  5. Pour sauce over crispy tofu and stir to coat evenly.
  6. Cook for 1-2 minutes until sauce thickens.
  7. Drizzle with sesame oil and garnish with sesame seeds and green onions.
  8. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • Use extra-firm tofu for best texture.
  • Adjust chili garlic sauce to control spiciness.
  • For extra crispiness, air-fry tofu at 400°F for 15 minutes instead of pan-frying.
