Crockpot Creamy Potato & Hamburger Soup

  • 1 lb ground hamburger
  • 4 cups diced potatoes
  • 1 cup chopped onion
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a skillet, brown the ground hamburger over medium heat until fully cooked.
  2. Drain excess fat and transfer the hamburger to the crockpot.
  3. Add diced potatoes, chopped onion, beef broth, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper to the crockpot.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
  5. About 30 minutes before serving, stir in the milk and heavy cream.
  6. Mix well and let it heat through before serving.

  • For a thicker soup, mash some of the potatoes before adding the milk and cream.
