Ingredients

  • 1 package frozen pierogi (16 oz)
  • 1 lb kielbasa, sliced
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup (10.5 oz)
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix together the cream of mushroom soup, sour cream, and chicken broth until well combined.
  2. Layer half of the frozen pierogi in the bottom of the crockpot.
  3. Add half of the sliced kielbasa and half of the chopped onion on top of the pierogi.
  4. Sprinkle half of the shredded cheddar cheese over the layers.
  5. Repeat the layers with the remaining pierogi, kielbasa, onion, and cheese.
  6. Pour the soup mixture evenly over the top.
  7. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  8. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours until the pierogi are tender and the cheese is melted.

Notes

  • Feel free to add other vegetables like bell peppers or mushrooms for extra flavor.
  • For a spicier version, consider using a spicy kielbasa.
  • This dish can be made ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator before cooking.
