20-Minute Air Fryer Churros: Crispy, Easy & Irresistible

Air Fryer Churros

Crispy, golden churros made easily in your air fryer. A quick and healthier version of the classic fried treat.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup water
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup sugar (for coating)
  • 1 tsp cinnamon (for coating)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a saucepan, combine water, sugar, salt, and oil. Bring to a boil.
  3. Remove from heat and stir in flour until a dough forms.
  4. Beat in the egg and vanilla until smooth.
  5. Transfer dough to a piping bag with a star tip.
  6. Pipe 4-inch strips onto parchment paper, then transfer to the air fryer basket.
  7. Cook for 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden brown.
  8. Mix sugar and cinnamon in a shallow bowl.
  9. Toss warm churros in the cinnamon sugar mixture.
  10. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • Use a large star tip for classic churro ridges.
  • Don’t overcrowd the air fryer basket.
  • Best served fresh but can be reheated for 2-3 minutes.
