These Easy Baked Apple Fritters are soft, spiced, and filled with tender chunks of apple. A healthier twist on the classic, they’re baked instead of fried and drizzled with a simple vanilla glaze.
Dry Ingredients
2 cups all-purpose flour
1/3 cup granulated sugar
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
Wet Ingredients
2 large eggs
1/2 cup whole milk
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
Filling
1 1/2 cups diced apples (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp recommended)
Optional Glaze
1 cup powdered sugar
2–3 tablespoons milk
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
In a separate bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, vanilla, and melted butter.
Combine wet and dry ingredients, stirring gently until just combined. Fold in diced apples.
Scoop the batter onto the prepared baking sheet using a spoon or cookie scoop.
Bake for 14–16 minutes, or until golden brown and set.
While fritters bake, whisk together the glaze ingredients in a small bowl.
Let fritters cool slightly, then drizzle with glaze. Serve warm.
Don’t overmix the batter—this keeps the fritters light and tender.
You can skip the glaze or replace it with a dusting of powdered sugar.
Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
