This fried strawberry cheesecake sandwich is a warm, crispy delight filled with a smooth cheesecake mixture, fresh strawberries, and sweet jam—all sandwiched between buttery slices of brioche or challah and fried to golden perfection.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 slices of brioche or challah bread

  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened

  • 2 tbsp powdered sugar (plus more for dusting)

  • 1/2 cup fresh strawberries, sliced

  • 1/4 cup strawberry jam

  • 2 large eggs

  • 3 tbsp milk

  • 2 tbsp butter (for frying)

Instructions

  • In a small bowl, mix softened cream cheese with powdered sugar until smooth.

  • Spread the cream cheese mixture onto four slices of bread.

  • Top with sliced strawberries and a spoonful of strawberry jam. Place remaining slices of bread on top to assemble the sandwich.

  • In a shallow bowl, whisk together the egg and milk.

  • Dip each sandwich into the egg mixture, coating both sides evenly.

  • Heat butter in a skillet over medium heat. Fry each sandwich 2–3 minutes per side or until golden brown.

  • Remove and drain on paper towels. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.

Notes

  • Add chopped nuts or a pinch of cinnamon to the filling for extra flavor.

  • Use raspberry or apricot jam as a fruity variation.

  • Serve with whipped cream or ice cream for a dessert version.
