This fried strawberry cheesecake sandwich is a warm, crispy delight filled with a smooth cheesecake mixture, fresh strawberries, and sweet jam—all sandwiched between buttery slices of brioche or challah and fried to golden perfection.
8 slices of brioche or challah bread
4 oz cream cheese, softened
2 tbsp powdered sugar (plus more for dusting)
1/2 cup fresh strawberries, sliced
1/4 cup strawberry jam
2 large eggs
3 tbsp milk
2 tbsp butter (for frying)
In a small bowl, mix softened cream cheese with powdered sugar until smooth.
Spread the cream cheese mixture onto four slices of bread.
Top with sliced strawberries and a spoonful of strawberry jam. Place remaining slices of bread on top to assemble the sandwich.
In a shallow bowl, whisk together the egg and milk.
Dip each sandwich into the egg mixture, coating both sides evenly.
Heat butter in a skillet over medium heat. Fry each sandwich 2–3 minutes per side or until golden brown.
Remove and drain on paper towels. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
Add chopped nuts or a pinch of cinnamon to the filling for extra flavor.
Use raspberry or apricot jam as a fruity variation.
Serve with whipped cream or ice cream for a dessert version.
