Gluten-Free Brown Butter Cookies

Delicious gluten-free cookies made with brown butter for a rich, nutty flavor.

  • 1 cup (227g) unsalted butter
  • 1 cup (200g) granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup (150g) brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 1/2 cups (300g) gluten-free flour blend
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup (175g) chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Brown the butter in a saucepan over medium heat, stirring until golden-brown. Let cool.
  2. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  3. In a bowl, mix browned butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar.
  4. Add eggs and vanilla extract. Mix well.
  5. Stir in gluten-free flour, baking soda, and salt.
  6. Fold in chocolate chips.
  7. Scoop dough onto baking sheets, spacing 2 inches apart.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are golden.
  9. Cool on baking sheets for 5 minutes before transferring to wire racks.

Notes

  • Use a gluten-free flour blend with xanthan gum.
  • Store cookies in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
  • For crispier cookies, bake an extra 1-2 minutes.
