Gochujang Black Garlic Wings

Crispy wings coated in a spicy-sweet gochujang and black garlic sauce.

  • 2 lbs chicken wings
  • 2 tbsp gochujang paste
  • 4 cloves black garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1/2 tsp ginger, grated
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds (for garnish)
  • 2 green onions, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Toss wings with vegetable oil, salt, and black pepper. Arrange on a baking sheet.
  3. Bake for 45-50 minutes, flipping halfway, until crispy.
  4. Mix gochujang, black garlic, soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, sesame oil, and ginger in a bowl.
  5. Toss cooked wings in the sauce until fully coated.
  6. Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions.

Notes

  • Adjust gochujang for more or less heat.
  • For extra crispiness, broil wings for 2-3 minutes after baking.
  • Use fresh black garlic for best flavor.
