  • 1 pound fresh green beans
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 cup French fried onions
  • 1/2 teaspoon soy sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Trim the ends of the green beans and blanch them in boiling water for 5 minutes.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine the cream of mushroom soup, milk, soy sauce, salt, and pepper.
  4. Add the blanched green beans to the mixture and stir until well coated.
  5. Transfer the mixture to a baking dish and bake for 25 minutes.
  6. Remove from the oven and stir in half of the French fried onions.
  7. Top with the remaining French fried onions and bake for an additional 10 minutes until golden brown.

Notes

  • For a vegetarian version, ensure the cream of mushroom soup is vegetarian-friendly.
  • Can be prepared ahead of time and baked just before serving.
  • Feel free to add cooked bacon or cheese for extra flavor.
