  • 6 regular buttery croissants ($1.50 total — $0.25 each)
  • 12 oz thinly sliced savory ham ($4.49)
  • 12 slices Swiss cheese ($3.00 – assuming $3.00 for 12-slice pack)
  • ½ cup Dijon or honey mustard ($0.50half of a $1.00 jar)

 

Garlic Butter Topping

 

  • 2 Tbsp melted butter ($0.09 – from $2.50/lb; 32 Tbsp ≈ 1 lb)
  • ½ tsp garlic powder ($0.05)
  • ¼ tsp Italian seasoning ($0.05)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Slice each croissant in half horizontally to form tops and bottoms.
  3. Spread Dijon mustard on the bottom halves of the croissants.
  4. Layer 1 slice of Swiss cheese, 2 oz of ham, and another slice of cheese on each.
  5. Spread mustard on the top halves and place them on the sandwiches.
  6. Mix the garlic butter ingredients in a small bowl.
  7. Brush the tops of the croissants with the garlic cutter mixture.
  8. Place sandwiches on the prepared baking sheet.
  9. Bake uncovered (or cover with foil for a softer top) for 12–14 minutes, until golden and melty.
