  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • Black food coloring
  • 1 cup whipped cream
  • Edible silver dust

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Mix flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a large bowl.
  3. Add buttermilk, vegetable oil, eggs, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth.
  4. Stir in boiling water and black food coloring until the batter is dark and smooth.
  5. Pour the batter into a greased cake pan and bake for 30-35 minutes.
  6. Let the cake cool completely before removing it from the pan.
  7. Spread whipped cream evenly over the cake’s surface.
  8. Dust the cake with edible silver dust to create a mirror effect.
