  • 2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 package active dry yeast
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 tbsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 tsp vanilla extract
  • 12 tbsp milk

Instructions

  1. Mix flour, sugar, salt, and yeast in a bowl.
  2. Heat milk, water, and butter until warm, then add to the dry ingredients.
  3. Add the egg and knead the dough until smooth.
  4. Let the dough rise for 1 hour.
  5. Roll the dough into a rectangle, spread softened butter, and sprinkle with brown sugar and cinnamon.
  6. Roll the dough tightly, cut into slices, and place in a baking dish.
  7. Let the rolls rise for 30 minutes.
  8. Bake at 375°F for 20-25 minutes.
  9. Mix powdered sugar, cream cheese, vanilla, and milk for the glaze.
  10. Drizzle the glaze over the warm rolls and serve.
