  • 1 cup almond flour
  • 3 large egg whites, room temperature
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • ½ tsp dried culinary lavender
  • 12 drops purple food coloring (optional)

Instructions

  1. Sift powdered sugar and almond flour together into a bowl.
  2. In a separate bowl, beat egg whites until frothy. Gradually add granulated sugar and continue beating until stiff peaks form.
  3. Fold in the honey and lavender into the egg whites.
  4. Gently fold the dry ingredients into the egg white mixture in two batches.
  5. Pipe 1-inch circles onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  6. Let the macarons rest for 30 minutes to form a skin.
  7. Bake at 300°F for 15-18 minutes.
  8. Cool completely before removing from the tray.
