Hot Honey Chicken Sandwich

A delicious and spicy hot honey chicken sandwich with crispy chicken and a sweet and spicy glaze.

Ingredients

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 2 tbsp hot sauce
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 4 brioche buns
  • Lettuce and pickles for serving

Instructions

  1. Mix flour, salt, pepper, paprika, and garlic powder in a bowl.
  2. Whisk egg and milk in another bowl.
  3. Dredge chicken in flour mixture, then dip in egg mixture, then coat again in flour.
  4. Fry chicken in oil until golden and crispy, about 5 minutes per side.
  5. In a saucepan, heat honey, hot sauce, and butter until melted and combined.
  6. Brush hot honey glaze over fried chicken.
  7. Toast brioche buns lightly.
  8. Assemble sandwiches with lettuce, pickles, and glazed chicken.

Notes

  • Adjust hot sauce to taste for more or less spice.
  • Use a meat thermometer to ensure chicken reaches 165°F.
  • For extra crispiness, double-coat the chicken in flour.
