Korean Sesame Crusted Salmon

A simple and flavorful Korean-inspired salmon dish with a crispy sesame crust.

Ingredients

  • 2 salmon fillets (6 oz each)
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tsp minced garlic
  • 1 tsp grated ginger
  • 2 tbsp sesame seeds
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 green onion, sliced

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Mix soy sauce, honey, sesame oil, garlic, and ginger in a bowl.
  3. Coat salmon fillets with the marinade and let sit for 10 minutes.
  4. Press sesame seeds onto the top of each fillet.
  5. Heat vegetable oil in an oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat.
  6. Sear salmon for 2 minutes, sesame-side down.
  7. Flip and transfer skillet to the oven.
  8. Bake for 8-10 minutes until cooked through.
  9. Garnish with green onions before serving.

Notes

  • Use fresh salmon for best results.
  • Adjust honey for desired sweetness.
  • Serve with steamed rice and vegetables.
