  • 1 bunch asparagus spears, trimmed
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 lemon (zested and juiced)
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F.
  2. Season halibut fillets with salt and pepper.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  4. Sear halibut for 2 minutes per side, then transfer to a baking dish.
  5. In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté garlic until fragrant.
  6. Add lemon zest and juice, then pour over the halibut.
  7. Arrange asparagus spears around the fish.
  8. Bake for 10 minutes or until fish flakes easily.
  9. Serve immediately.
