A delicious and healthy low-carb dish featuring spicy turkey wrapped in crisp lettuce leaves.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 head of lettuce (such as romaine or butter lettuce)
  • 1/2 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions
  • 1/4 cup shredded cheese (optional)

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add ground turkey and cook until browned.
  3. Stir in chili powder, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper.
  4. Cook for an additional 5 minutes until spices are well combined.
  5. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  6. Wash and separate lettuce leaves.
  7. Fill each lettuce leaf with the spicy turkey mixture.
  8. Top with diced tomatoes, green onions, and cheese if desired.
  9. Serve immediately and enjoy!
