  • 1 1/2 cups coconut milk
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 ripe mangoes, sliced
  • Sesame seeds or mung beans for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Rinse the glutinous rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
  2. Soak the rice in water for at least 4 hours or overnight.
  3. Drain the rice and steam it for about 30 minutes until cooked and tender.
  4. In a saucepan, combine coconut milk, sugar, and salt. Heat until the sugar dissolves, but do not boil.
  5. Once the rice is cooked, mix it with 1 cup of the coconut sauce and let it sit for about 30 minutes.
  6. To serve, place a portion of the sticky rice on a plate, top with mango slices, and drizzle with the remaining coconut sauce.
  7. Garnish with sesame seeds or mung beans if desired.
