  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed
  • 1/2 cup maple syrup
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup powdered sugar (for glaze)
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup (for glaze)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Add the cold butter and mix until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Stir in the maple syrup, milk, and vanilla extract until just combined.
  5. Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead gently.
  6. Roll out to about 1-inch thickness and cut into biscuits.
  7. Place the biscuits on a baking sheet and bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
  8. While the biscuits are baking, prepare the glaze by mixing powdered sugar and maple syrup until smooth.
  9. Once the biscuits are done, drizzle the glaze over the warm biscuits.
