Soft, tender Maple Donut Bars baked to perfection and topped with a smooth maple glaze. This easy recipe delivers bakery-style flavor without frying.
For the Bars:
1 cup all-purpose flour
¾ cup granulated sugar
1 tsp baking powder
¼ tsp salt
1 tsp ground cinnamon
2 large eggs (room temperature)
½ cup pure maple syrup
½ cup milk (whole or non-dairy)
¼ cup melted butter (cooled)
2 tbsp brown sugar (optional)
For the Glaze:
1 cup powdered sugar
2 tbsp milk
½ tsp maple extract (optional)
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line an 8×8-inch baking dish with parchment paper.
In a large bowl, whisk together flour, granulated sugar, brown sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
In another bowl, beat eggs, maple syrup, milk, and melted butter until smooth.
Combine wet and dry ingredients, stirring just until combined.
Pour batter into the prepared baking dish and spread evenly.
Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
Mix powdered sugar, milk, and maple extract until smooth, then drizzle over cooled bars.
Use pure maple syrup for the best flavor.
For a richer taste, add 2 tbsp brown sugar to the batter.
Bars can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days at room temperature.
