  • 1 whole turkey (1214 lbs)
  • 1/2 cup maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 sprigs fresh rosemary

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 325°F.
  2. Pat the turkey dry and place it in a roasting pan.
  3. In a bowl, mix maple syrup, melted butter, soy sauce, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and salt.
  4. Brush half of the glaze over the turkey.
  5. Place rosemary sprigs inside the turkey cavity.
  6. Roast the turkey for 3 hours, basting with remaining glaze every 30 minutes.
  7. Check internal temperature—it should reach 165°F in the thickest part of the thigh.
  8. Let rest for 20 minutes before carving.
