15-Minute Pan Seared Sea Bass: Crispy Skin Perfection

Pan Seared Sea Bass

A simple and delicious pan-seared sea bass with crispy skin and tender flesh.

Ingredients

  • 2 sea bass fillets (68 oz each)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 lemon (sliced for garnish)
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley (chopped)

Instructions

  1. Pat the sea bass fillets dry with paper towels.
  2. Season both sides with salt and pepper.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  4. Place fillets skin-side down in the skillet. Press gently to prevent curling.
  5. Cook for 3-4 minutes until skin is crispy.
  6. Flip and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
  7. Add butter to the skillet and baste the fish for extra flavor.
  8. Remove from heat and garnish with lemon slices and parsley.

Notes

  • Make sure the skillet is hot before adding fish.
  • Do not overcrowd the pan to ensure even cooking.
  • Use a thin spatula to flip the fish without breaking it.
