Pistachio Baklava Rolls

Pistachio baklava rolls are a sweet and crispy Middle Eastern dessert made with layers of phyllo dough, filled with crushed pistachios, and soaked in honey syrup.

  • 1 package phyllo dough (16 oz)
  • 2 cups crushed pistachios
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Mix crushed pistachios with cinnamon.
  3. Brush melted butter on one sheet of phyllo dough.
  4. Sprinkle pistachio mixture evenly over the dough.
  5. Roll the dough tightly into a log.
  6. Repeat with remaining layers.
  7. Cut rolls into 1-inch pieces.
  8. Place on a baking sheet and bake for 25-30 minutes until golden.
  9. Heat sugar, water, honey, lemon juice, and vanilla in a saucepan until sugar dissolves.
  10. Pour syrup over baked rolls while hot.
  11. Let cool before serving.
