Raw Sunflower Seed Hummus

A delicious and healthy twist on traditional hummus made with raw sunflower seeds.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup raw sunflower seeds
  • 1/4 cup tahini
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1/4 cup water (more if needed)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil (for drizzling)

Instructions

  1. Soak the raw sunflower seeds in water for at least 4 hours or overnight.
  2. Drain and rinse the sunflower seeds.
  3. In a food processor, combine the soaked sunflower seeds, tahini, lemon juice, garlic, salt, and cumin.
  4. Blend until smooth, adding water gradually to reach desired consistency.
  5. Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary.
  6. Transfer to a serving bowl and drizzle with olive oil before serving.
