Seared Ahi Tuna Bowl

A fresh and flavorful seared ahi tuna bowl with crisp vegetables and a tangy dressing.

Ingredients

  • 8 oz ahi tuna steak
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tsp soy sauce
  • 1/2 avocado, sliced
  • 1/2 cup shredded carrots
  • 1/2 cup thinly sliced cucumber
  • 1/4 cup edamame
  • 1/4 cup sliced radishes
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds
  • 1 cup cooked sushi rice
  • 1 tbsp sriracha mayo (optional)

Instructions

  1. Heat sesame oil in a pan over high heat.
  2. Sear tuna steak for 1-2 minutes per side for rare, or longer for desired doneness.
  3. Slice tuna into thin pieces.
  4. Place cooked rice in a bowl.
  5. Arrange tuna, avocado, carrots, cucumber, edamame, and radishes on top.
  6. Sprinkle with sesame seeds.
  7. Drizzle with soy sauce and sriracha mayo if desired.

Notes

  • Use fresh, sushi-grade tuna for best results.
  • Adjust spice level by adding more or less sriracha.
  • Substitute brown rice or quinoa for a healthier option.
