Sloppy Joe Stromboli

A twist on the classic Sloppy Joe, this Stromboli combines savory ground beef, tangy sauce, and melted cheese wrapped in crispy dough.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 cup onion, diced
  • 1/2 cup green bell pepper, diced
  • 1 cup Sloppy Joe sauce
  • 1 tube refrigerated pizza dough
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F.
  2. Brown ground beef in a skillet over medium heat.
  3. Add onion and bell pepper, cook until softened.
  4. Stir in Sloppy Joe sauce and simmer for 5 minutes.
  5. Roll out pizza dough into a rectangle.
  6. Spread beef mixture evenly over dough, leaving a 1-inch border.
  7. Sprinkle cheese over the beef mixture.
  8. Roll dough tightly into a log, sealing the edges.
  9. Brush with egg wash and bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  10. Let cool for 5 minutes before slicing.
