Slow Cooker Lasagna

A simple and delicious slow cooker lasagna recipe that requires minimal effort and delivers maximum flavor.

  • 9 lasagna noodles
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 24 ounces marinara sauce
  • 15 ounces ricotta cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Brown the ground beef with onion and garlic in a skillet over medium heat. Drain excess fat.
  2. Add marinara sauce to the beef mixture and stir to combine.
  3. In a bowl, mix ricotta cheese, egg, salt, and pepper.
  4. Spread a layer of the meat sauce in the bottom of the slow cooker.
  5. Layer 3 lasagna noodles over the sauce, followed by half of the ricotta mixture, a third of the mozzarella, and more meat sauce.
  6. Repeat the layers, finishing with noodles, remaining meat sauce, and the rest of the mozzarella and Parmesan cheese on top.
  7. Cover and cook on low for 4-6 hours or until noodles are tender.
  8. Let it sit for 10 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • Feel free to add vegetables like spinach or mushrooms for extra nutrition.
  • For a vegetarian version, substitute ground beef with lentils or mushrooms.
  • Make sure to break the noodles to fit your slow cooker if necessary.
