Smash Burger Tacos with Special Sauce

A fun twist on burgers and tacos, combining crispy smashed beef patties with taco shells and a creamy special sauce.

  • 1 lb ground beef (80/20 blend)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 8 small flour tortillas
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp ketchup
  • 1 tbsp yellow mustard
  • 1 tsp pickle relish
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1/2 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1/4 cup diced onions
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. Mix salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder into the ground beef.
  2. Divide beef into 8 small balls.
  3. Heat a skillet over high heat.
  4. Place a tortilla in the skillet, then press a beef ball in the center and smash it flat with a spatula.
  5. Cook for 2-3 minutes until crispy, then flip.
  6. Repeat for all tacos.
  7. Mix mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard, relish, and paprika to make the special sauce.
  8. Assemble tacos with beef, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, cheese, and sauce.

Notes

  • Use a sturdy spatula to smash the beef thin.
  • Cook on high heat for a crispy crust.
