Turkish Eggs (Cilbir)

Turkish Eggs (Cilbir) is a delightful dish featuring poached eggs served over yogurt and topped with a spicy butter sauce, perfect for breakfast or brunch.

  • 1 cup plain yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes

  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Bring a pot of water to a gentle simmer and poach the eggs for about 3-4 minutes until the whites are set but the yolks are still runny.
  2. While the eggs are poaching, heat the butter and olive oil in a small pan over medium heat. Add the red pepper flakes and cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
