A simple and delicious vegan black bean burger recipe packed with protein and flavor.

Ingredients

  • 1 can (15 oz) black beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  1. Mash black beans in a bowl until mostly smooth.
  2. Add breadcrumbs, onion, garlic, soy sauce, cumin, and paprika. Mix well.
  3. Form mixture into 4 equal patties.
  4. Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat.
  5. Cook patties for 4-5 minutes per side until crispy.
  6. Serve on buns with your favorite toppings.

Notes

  • For gluten-free version, use gluten-free breadcrumbs.
  • Patties can be frozen before cooking for later use.
  • Add more breadcrumbs if mixture is too wet.
