Witches’ cauldron molten cake

A decadent molten chocolate cake with a gooey center, perfect for a bewitching dessert.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 4 oz semi-sweet chocolate
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Grease four ramekins with butter and dust with flour.
  3. Melt butter and chocolate together in a heatproof bowl over simmering water.
  4. Whisk sugar, eggs, egg yolks, and vanilla in a separate bowl.
  5. Fold the melted chocolate mixture into the egg mixture.
  6. Add flour and salt, and mix until just combined.
  7. Divide the batter evenly into the prepared ramekins.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes until the edges are set but the center is soft.
  9. Let cool for 1 minute, then invert onto plates and serve immediately.
